Global Warming Facts & Reduction Procedure

Global Warming Facts

1. Global warming is a long-term rise in the average temperature of the Earth's climate system.  Due to reason of greenhouse gases released as people burn fossil fuels (natural oil, gasoline, coal). These greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane absorb heat that would otherwise bounce off the Earth’s surface.

2. Global warming that is causing extreme weather changes has shown its result of forest fires, heat waves and severe tropical storms throughout the world.

3. Humans are emitting more carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, faster than the absorbing rates of plants and the oceans.

4. The rate of temperature increase has nearly doubled in the last 50 years.

5. Sea levels have risen about 7 inches in the last 100 years.

6. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has both the authority and responsibility to reduce pollution from electric power plants under the Clean Air Act, the nation's bedrock air pollution law adopted in 1970.

7. A failure in preventing global warming can cause a major economic collapse causing 20% of global domestic output to fix.

8. Global warming can lead to massive food and water shortages and has a life-threatening impact on wildlife.

--Reduce the demand for fossil fuels, which in turn reduces global warming, by using energy more wisely.Need to encourage people to take steps that would prevent them from taking any action that would lead to global warming.

10 points to reduce the effects of global warming

1. Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

2. Use Less Heat and Air Conditioning

3. Change your lightbulbs

4. Drive less and drive smarter

5. Use Less Hot Water

6. Buy Energy-Efficient Products

7. Ues Less light

8. Encourage Others to Conserve

9. Keep an eye on your local beach

10. Plant more tree

Deforestation effect on wildlife

Deforestation causes wild animals to loose their natural habitats. This results in shortage of food for the wild animals, which in turn reduces their numbers due to death, caused by starving.

Importance of trees in our life

Let's Plant more trees to save Earth Trees provide oxygen. They play an important role in the ecology system. Ecological imbalance can cause flood  and various other natural calamities that can lead to destruction of life from this earth. Therefore it’s important that we save the trees we have in order to maintain ecological balance and we should also plant more and more trees to save earth. "One touch of nature makes the whole world kin." ― William Shakespeare "The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn." ― Ralph Waldo Emerson "Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage them to try again next year." ― Chad Sugg "Whoever has learned how to listen to trees no longer wants to be a tree. He wants to be nothing except what he is. That is home. That is happiness." ― Herman Hesse "The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all, our most pleasing responsibilit...

Land Degradation Cause & Prevention's

Land degradation is a process in which the value of the biophysical environment is affected by a combination of human-induced processes acting upon the land. Land degradation occurs when the economic and biological productivity of land is lost, primarily through human activities.   Land Degradation Major Causes: 1. Deforestation : Deforestation cause due to  increasing demands of fuel and forest products which results into degradation of land resources. 2.   Agricultural Practices : The modern agricultural system uses excessive  fertilizers and pesticides has adversely degraded the natural quality and fertility of the cultivation land. 3. Industrialization: Rapid growth industries of the country leads to excessive deforestation and utilization of land in such as way that it has lost its natural up gradation quality. 4. Urbanization: One of the main reason land degradation is increasing growth of population demand for more residential areas...
