Deforestation effect and solutions

Deforestation is the process of cutting down the forest land for non - forest purposes.It involves significant loss of natural forests and wildlife which are irreplaceable gifts of mother nature. Negative Impact of deforestation: 1. Increasing CO2 Concentration: deforestation times many of the trees are burnt which results in releasing the carbon that is stored in them as carbon dioxide. This, in turn, leads to greater concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. 2. Soil Erosion:   Cutting down on trees leads to clearance of forests and so soil erosion occurs. Exposure of the soil to the sun’s heat dries up the moisture inside the soil.Nutrients evaporate and it affects the bacteria that help to break down organic matter.Due to this, rain washes the soil surfaces and erosion takes place. 3.
