Deforestation effect and solutions

Deforestation is the process of cutting down the forest land for non - forest purposes. It involves significant loss of natural forests and wildlife which are irreplaceable gifts of mother nature.

Negative Impact of deforestation:

1. Increasing CO2 Concentration:
deforestation times many of the trees are burnt which results in releasing the carbon that is stored in them as carbon dioxide. This, in turn, leads to greater concentrations of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.

2. Soil Erosion:

Cutting down on trees leads to clearance of forests and so soil erosion occurs. Exposure of the soil to the sun’s heat dries up the moisture inside the soil.Nutrients evaporate and it affects the bacteria that help to break down organic matter.Due to this, rain washes the soil surfaces and erosion takes place.

3. Biodiversity Losses:

Deforestation converted forest into land and so that many of the plants and animals do not survive. This is the ‘biodiversity loss’. Many wonderful species of plants and animals have been lost, and many others remain endangered. As each species of an ecosystem rely upon other species, loss of one species can have far-reaching consequences for other species. Millions of plants and animal species are on the verge of extinction due to deforestation.

4. Floods:

Deforestation leads to land erosion because the trees maintain the surface of the mountains. The  water level of the rivers and sea in increases suddenly, causing floods.
When it rains, trees absorb and store a large amount of water with the help of their roots. Due to Deforestation disrupts the flow of water and leads to floods in some areas.

Solutions to Deforestation:

1. Planting More trees is a best solution.

2. Save trees and protect trees form cutting.

3. Spread the awareness and organize educative campaigns about the effects of deforestation.

4. There should be implementation of regulations of laws at organizational and governmental levels to stop deforestation.

Deforestation effect on wildlife

Deforestation causes wild animals to loose their natural habitats. This results in shortage of food for the wild animals, which in turn reduces their numbers due to death, caused by starving.

Importance of trees in our life

Let's Plant more trees to save Earth Trees provide oxygen. They play an important role in the ecology system. Ecological imbalance can cause flood  and various other natural calamities that can lead to destruction of life from this earth. Therefore it’s important that we save the trees we have in order to maintain ecological balance and we should also plant more and more trees to save earth. "One touch of nature makes the whole world kin." ― William Shakespeare "The creation of a thousand forests is in one acorn." ― Ralph Waldo Emerson "Love the trees until their leaves fall off, then encourage them to try again next year." ― Chad Sugg "Whoever has learned how to listen to trees no longer wants to be a tree. He wants to be nothing except what he is. That is home. That is happiness." ― Herman Hesse "The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all, our most pleasing responsibilit...

Land Degradation Cause & Prevention's

Land degradation is a process in which the value of the biophysical environment is affected by a combination of human-induced processes acting upon the land. Land degradation occurs when the economic and biological productivity of land is lost, primarily through human activities.   Land Degradation Major Causes: 1. Deforestation : Deforestation cause due to  increasing demands of fuel and forest products which results into degradation of land resources. 2.   Agricultural Practices : The modern agricultural system uses excessive  fertilizers and pesticides has adversely degraded the natural quality and fertility of the cultivation land. 3. Industrialization: Rapid growth industries of the country leads to excessive deforestation and utilization of land in such as way that it has lost its natural up gradation quality. 4. Urbanization: One of the main reason land degradation is increasing growth of population demand for more residential areas...
